After a slow start from Oranje and the Three Lions in the groups stage, both teams have shown some great character in the knockout phase, that allowed them to overcome some difficult situations.

Even though the Netherlands convincingly edged Romania (3-0), they then had to struggle to eliminate Turkey (2-1), after trailing until the 70th minute. As for the English team, the equaliser against Slovakia came 5 minutes into added time, before winning on extra-time (2-1). The next round has seen Gareth Southgate's men also manage a late equaliser against a solid Swiss team, before qualifying on penalties (1-1, pen. 5-3).

Spain 2-1 France

Spain have qualified for the final after a tense game against France in Munich.

The French side scored the opener early in the game. On the 9th minute, MBappé drills a lofted cross from the left to the far post and Kolo Muani's heads it home from close range, into the upper right corner (0-1).

La Roja scored the equaliser with a brilliant goal from Lamine Yamal. As the Spanish teenager approaches the edge of the box, he fakes a move to the right to throw the defenders off, cuts inside and drills a rising curler with his left that hits the inside of the left post before going in (1-1).

Only four minutes later, Dani Olmo latches on to a ball on the left hand side of the box. His low shot with his right goes past the goalkeeper. Koundé gets to deflect the shot but cannot prevent the ball from entering the goal (2-1).
