Arsenal convincingly qualified for the semi-finals, securing their place with a dominant 5-1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid, having won both legs of the tie.

Controversy arose in the 24th minute when a Real Madrid penalty was overturned by VAR. Despite these incidents, the opening 45 minutes ended with Real Madrid unable to generate any meaningful chances inside the Arsenal box.

In the 65th minute, a central attacking move by Arsenal, originating from the right, saw Merino deliver a precise, line-breaking pass from the edge of the box.

Inter Milan progressed to the Champions League semi-finals with a 4-3 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich, despite a tense second leg where all goals were scored.

Harry Kane's 52nd-minute goal briefly put Bayern in a position to level the tie on aggregate. However, Inter responded emphatically with two quick goals from Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard.

While Eric Dier's headed goal from a very tight angle later provided Bayern with a glimmer of hope, Inter Milan held on to their aggregate lead. They will now face FC Barcelona in the semi-finals.
