Welcome to the SoccerSTATS.com Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data through a minimalist approach to data collection.

International Privacy Notice

As a user accessing our services from outside the European Economic Area or the UK, your data may be stored and processed in data centers located across our global infrastructure.

We remain committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with international data protection standards and your local jurisdiction's applicable laws.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

We do not require you to register, create an account, or submit personal information to browse the public areas of our website. The data processed on our website falls into the following categories:

  • Website Traffic & Analytics: To understand how visitors use our site, we use Google Analytics and StatCounter. Both services are configured to prioritize your privacy. The Google Analytics IP anonymization feature is activated, meaning your IP address is shortened before transmission. StatCounter also utilizes a "Mask IP address" option, storing only a partial, non-identifiable segment of your IP.
  • Advertising: Our website displays advertisements. We do not directly collect, receive, or process personal data for advertising purposes. Consent and data treatment for localized advertising are handled entirely by our Consent Management Platform (CMP) provided by InMobi, which captures and respects your privacy preferences before any ad-related cookies are set.
  • Membership Program (Steady): In some regions, we offer an ad-free, premium membership program managed entirely by our third-party partner, Steady Media GmbH, based in Germany. Steady acts as the Merchant of Record, handling all account creation, financial transactions, and VAT collection. We do not invoice you directly, nor do we ever receive or store your credit card details or physical address. Steady shares limited identification data with us (such as your name, email address, and active membership plan) solely so we can grant you access to members-only content on our website.
  • Contacting Us: We do not operate a contact form, email newsletter, or marketing list. If you choose to contact us via direct email or our social media channels, you are providing your personal information (like your email address or social handle) voluntarily. We use this information exclusively to read and reply to your specific query.

2. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file containing information that a server sends to your browser. We use session cookies to ensure the website functions correctly (such as remembering your selected display language or active membership status). Third-party services integrated into our site (InMobi, Google Analytics, StatCounter, and Steady) may also set cookies to fulfill their operational, analytical, or consent-tracking functions.

You can instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. However, please note that disabling certain cookies may prevent the membership login or specialized statistical features from functioning properly.

3. Data Retention

We strive not to preserve any personal information for longer than reasonably needed. Emails sent to our support inbox are periodically deleted once the query is resolved. Membership data shared by Steady is only utilized while your membership remains active.

4. Third-Party Advertising and Cookies

Use of Cookies and Tracking Identifiers
This website partners with Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, device identifiers, and web beacons to collect anonymous browsing data (such as your IP address, browser type, and interaction with ads). This data is used to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites across the internet.

Personalized and Non-Personalized Ads

  • Personalized Advertising: Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve targeted ads to you based on your browsing history across the web.
  • Non-Personalized Advertising: Even if you choose not to consent to personalized ads via our consent banner, cookies and identifiers are still utilized for essential ad operations, including frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and fraud prevention.

User Choice and Opt-Out Controls
You have complete control over how your data is used for advertising. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting:

  • Google Ads Settings to manage the ads you see from Google.
  • The AboutAds.info Opt-Out Portal to opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising.
